My Story

ANDREW DUNCAN
Tragically on 17th December 2006
Aged 44 years.

To my wonderful big Brother, Drew.
You were the best, clever, funny, kind and
always there for me when I needed you.
I’m so proud you were my Brother.
I will miss you more than words can say.
Safely with Mum and Granny now.
Goodbye my friend
All my love always, Fiona. X X X

BROTHER
My lovely Brother Andrew.
Having James taken away from you was the
cruellest thing to happen to you, and the pain
slowly ate away at you. The hurt of never
receiving birthday cards or Father’s Day cards
was hidden inside you, but those who loved
you knew. Your Health & Safety work was
bringing you a new lease of life, so why you
were taken now I can’t understand. Christmas
Day will be so hard without you, the only
consolation being that you are with Mum.
I love you and will miss you so much.
Your broken hearted big Sis Heather.

UNCLE
To the best Uncle, I am going to miss you so
much, I will miss seeing you at Guinea Gap
Baths, when I would throw myself into your
arms to hug you and soak you, and you would
then throw me in the pool. I will miss you on
Christmas Day.
I love you and will miss you always.
Elliot. X X

The Promise

Of angel wings and heavenly things
There’s very little known,
For those who have the answers
Are, forever, from us gone.

Life in the hereafter,
In faith, I must accept;
Thoughts that trouble not the people
With families still intact.

But, those of us who’ve traveled
Down the lonely path of grief,
Are forever seeking answers
To the riddle, which is life.

We trek through shadowed forests
Past the ugly shroud of death,
Toward a promise for the future
Of a kinder, better place.

So, we look to see the angel wings
And listen for the hymn
That God will send to guide us
When we leave to be with Him.
